Recently, Audi Vietnam has announced the recall of 2 models, the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT, to inspect and remedy issues related to high-voltage batteries. This program is carried out at the request of the parent company Audi AG.
The affected vehicles were manufactured from 9/1/2020 to 26/2/2024, with a total of 6 units sold in Vietnam.

The company did not share detailed reasons for this recall order, only that during research, Audi AG found that some e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles manufactured within a certain time frame had high-voltage battery modules that may not meet safety standards.
In the international market, these electric models are also being recalled to inspect high-voltage battery modules. According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this faulty component could cause a short circuit, leading to overheating and even a risk of explosion.
However, Audi states that these vehicles are still safe to operate until inspected, with no reported incidents of malfunction. Audi Vietnam will contact owners of affected vehicles to carry out the necessary repairs, with an estimated completion time of 3 days per vehicle, free of charge.
For vehicles that are not officially imported but still subject to the recall, Audi Vietnam is ready to assist in contacting Audi AG for inspection and reinforcement upon approval. This process also applies to vehicles imported under the personal belongings relocation or diplomatic status.
