On May 10, the investigating agency of Krông Nô district police (Đắk Nông) decided to prosecute a case, initiate legal proceedings against the suspect, and issue a temporary detention order for Lê Công Toàn (29 years old, residing in Tân Thành ward, Buôn Ma Thuột city, Đắk Lắk) for the crime of Extortion.
According to preliminary investigations, in order to have money for spending, Toàn created multiple social media accounts and downloaded sensitive photos and videos of young beautiful girls to his device. He used these accounts with the girls' images as profile pictures to add and chat with many other men.

During the conversations, Toàn coerced the men into sending him self-made "hot" photos and videos. After obtaining these materials, he would use them to blackmail the victims.
Using this method, on March 15, Toàn sent a friend request from his Facebook account named "Nhung Nhung" to the Facebook account of a guy named H. (22 years old, residing in Krông Nô district). When H. accepted the request, they exchanged messages and Toàn suggested that they both send "hot" photos to each other, which H. agreed to.
On April 1, Toàn used the nude photos of H. to demand 1.5 million VND from the victim, threatening to expose the explicit images and videos if he didn't comply.
Out of fear of the consequences, by April 22, H. had transferred 2.4 million VND to Toàn's bank account.
Upon uncovering the incident, the police intervened, investigated, and arrested Toàn, seizing various items related to the case.
The Krông Nô district police are continuing the investigation, expanding the case, and urging anyone who has been a victim of Toàn to contact the police for assistance.
