Flying car prototype has already received thousands of pre-orders before going into production

Last year, Alef Aeronautics in California, USA, introduced the Model A flying car with a price tag of $300,000, promising to start production in 2025.

Many people mocked the idea, considering the Alef Model A as a far-fetched product that would never hit the road (or fly in the sky). However, the company has actually signed a production agreement to fulfill its promise.

Alef has received 3,200 pre-orders for the company's flying car model, which has also obtained a special flying certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration.

The company has sealed a sales agreement through a dealer in California and has also signed agreements with PUCARA Aero and MYC to produce aviation-certified components for this product.

PUCARA Aero and MYC are two companies specializing in manufacturing various components for civil and military aircraft, helicopters, and drones, as well as suppliers for Boeing and Airbus.

Alef Model A stands out from other flying car models previously introduced because it does not have large wings and does not require a long runway for takeoff. Instead, the "foamy" body contains four powerful fan blades underneath to help the vehicle take off.

Inside this unique chassis is a small passenger compartment that can accommodate 1-2 people. The company states that this product is designed to be able to drive on the road like a car and transform into a straight-up aircraft.

Alef plans to start production of the Model A in the fourth quarter of the following year and will deliver shortly after. The company is also planning to produce a second flying car model named the Model Z, with a price tag of only $35,000.
