Hanoi's 'Em gai mua' concert canceled due to heavy rain

The concert "Em gái mưa" by Hương Tràm also featured singer Đinh Mạnh Ninh. The Organizing Committee (BTC) initially planned to postpone the concert to 9:00 pm, but due to heavy rain at 8:30 pm without signs of stopping, BTC decided to postpone the concert to ensure the safety and health of the audience and artists.

BTC also announced that the program will be rescheduled to another day and reserved tickets for those who had reserved seats for the evening of May 12.

"Hanoi is still experiencing heavy rain and extreme weather conditions, so BTC respectfully requests to reschedule to a more suitable time. Currently, we cannot confirm a specific time as there is forecasted continuous rain in the coming days.

We hope for the understanding and support of the audience for BTC in this event. We will soon announce the schedule for the new show and reserve tickets for those who had previously reserved", a representative of BTC announced.

Speaking to Dantri reporters, a BTC representative also stated that the investment in 3P Mapping technology for the concert was quite costly, and they have not yet calculated the losses incurred from the show's cancellation.

Mr. Chu Anh Hùng, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Opera House, also confirmed that Hương Tràm's concert was canceled due to heavy rain. "The team is meeting to make a final decision on the alternative performance night and will inform the ticket holders. There is a high possibility that we will have to relocate from the outdoor stage to inside the Opera House for a more convenient organization of the concert," Mr. Chu Anh Hùng said.

On his personal page, singer Đinh Mạnh Ninh also announced: "The heavy rain shows no signs of stopping, and there are many electrical devices on the stage that pose a danger. Therefore, continuing the program is a very risky and unsafe option for all participating audience members. Postponing the show is a difficult decision, and the program's BTC will soon provide the audience with a plan as soon as possible."

Hương Tràm also expressed regret that the concert could not take place as planned. "Flows in you - Em gái mưa" is the concert marking her comeback after 4 years of studying abroad in the US.

The female singer and her team, band have been preparing for the show for many months. According to the original plan, Hương Tràm was to perform many English songs that she had not sung before. Some familiar songs were also to be refreshed by the female singer.
