Ho Chi Minh City plans to display 16 fireworks on April 30

The city plans to display fireworks at 16 locations, including 10 locations along the Saigon River to celebrate the 49th anniversary of national reunification.

The content stated in the fireworks display plan on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the country's unification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) was submitted to the City People's Committee by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Department of Culture and Sports proposed one high-level point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) and 15 low-level points; Shooting time is from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on April 30; funding from socialization sources.

This is the first time the department has proposed a fireworks display on the Saigon River with a scale of 10 locations including: Van Phuc Urban Area (Thu Duc City), Thanh Da Park (Ward 27, Binh Thanh District), Rach Chiec Bridge (Truong Tho ward, Thu Duc city), Thao Dien villa area (Thao Dien ward, Thu Duc city), Landmark 81 park (ward 22, Binh Thanh district), Ba Son wharf and Bach Dang wharf ( Ben Nghe ward, District 1), Saigon River tunnel head area (Thu Duc city, high-altitude shooting point), Tan Thuan 1 bridge area (ward 18, district 4), riverbank area of Thanh My Loi ward (city Thu Duc).

Six low-level points in the area along the riverbank in lot N4 - D6 of the Northwest industrial park (Cu Chi), the historical relic site of Nga Ba Giong (Hoc Mon), the traditional revolutionary area of the general attack and uprising Spring Mau Than 1968 (Binh Chanh), Dam Sen cultural park (District 11), District 7 administrative center, Rung Sac square (Can Gio).

Fireworks displays are carried out in accordance with Decree 36/2009 of the Government. On the occasion of Lunar New Year's Eve and September 2nd, centrally run cities and Thua Thien Hue display high- and low-range fireworks; The remaining provinces fired low-level artillery; duration no more than 15 minutes. Only Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are allowed to display fireworks on April 30.

In addition, fireworks display occasions such as the establishment of provinces and centrally run cities; national and international cultural, tourism and sports events; New Year's Eve... is decided by the Prime Minister.
