Following the court session, the court representative stated: "She has caused 2 traffic accidents while drunk and even killed someone. We have filed a petition with the hope that the defendant will be punished severely."

The court representative emphasized that the fatal accident was clearly Yesong's fault. "She violated traffic signals and was speeding. The defendant must be strictly dealt with and society protected. The defendant must serve a 15-year prison sentence," the court representative added.

During the court session, the South Korean DJ also expressed regret: "I couldn't refuse the alcohol offered at the party, so I drank more than allowed and acted irresponsibly. I have reflected on the pain I caused the victim."

The DJ hopes to receive forgiveness from the victim's family and wants to redeem all mistakes through volunteer work. It is known that the final trial for Ahn Yesong will take place in July.

At the beginning of February, DJ Yesong (24 years old) was temporarily detained after a serious traffic accident. It is reported that the DJ was driving under the influence. She rear-ended a motorcycle, causing the accident on Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

Information from the police revealed that the motorcycle rider was a 50-year-old delivery driver who was thrown about 100m from the impact and died due to severe injuries. Seoul police recorded Yesong's blood alcohol level at 0.221% at the time she was detained, far exceeding the legal limit.

According to Wikitree, before the fatal accident, Ahn Yesong had already collided with another person on the road. The victim of that accident sustained serious injuries and had to stay in the hospital for over a week. After causing the first accident, Ahn fled the scene and caused the fatal accident.

A senior judge at the Central District Court of Seoul issued an arrest warrant for DJ Yesong for investigation in February.

According to Naver, many witnesses at the scene stated that DJ Yesong did not cooperate with the police at the time of the accident. A witness present at the scene told Naver that Yesong remained calm hugging her pet despite causing a fatal accident, refusing to answer investigators' questions.

The serious traffic accident caused Yesong to face severe public criticism in South Korea, raising awareness about the reckless and irresponsible behavior of artists.

Speaking out after the incident, Yesong admitted her mistake, apologized to the victim's family, but she continued to receive backlash for lying about her biological father's death to gain sympathy from the audience.

In March, prosecutors in South Korea received more than 1,500 petitions from the victim's family and members of the Drivers' Association in the country. The delivery driver who passed away in the accident was a member of this association, believed to be a single father. All petitions called for severe punishment for the young DJ.

Yesong (born in 2000) began her artistic career at the age of 17 as a member of the music group INSTAR. The former K-pop idol has been active for several years but did not receive much attention. She later transitioned to DJing and is now a single mother.
