A video released by the York Regional Police in Canada shows a high-speed chase starting on a major highway, with luckily few vehicles on the road at that time.
Soon after, the Lamborghini speeds into a small dead-end street, but despite being blocked by a Ford F-Series police vehicle, the driver still tries to maneuver around it and accelerates to escape.
After the chase, the Lamborghini's all 4 tires were ripped apart, leaving only the rims (Photo captured from York Regional Police/YouTube).
Authorities stated that the Urus later reappeared on the highway, speeding at over 124 mph (200km/h). After the car ran over spike strips, one of the front tires blew out and came off the rim, rolling onto the road as the car didn't seem to slow down.
The Urus lost its tire at a speed of around 85 mph (137km/h), yet the driver continued to drive away, causing sparks to fly on the road.
After driving on rims for over 15 minutes, the driver pulled into a parking lot, thinking they had escaped police pursuit without realizing that a helicopter with night vision technology was still tracking them.
Shortly after, ground units arrived and apprehended those involved. Police stated that during the chase, the Urus driver had struck several patrol cars.
The police have charged the driver, 21-year-old Samuel Ugbo-Adeosun, with dangerous driving, fleeing from police, and failing to stop after an accident, while the passenger, 22-year-old Keenan Adu, is charged with assaulting a police officer with a weapon.
