According to Box Office Vietnam, "Lat Mat 7: Mot dieu uoc" officially achieved a milestone of 460.9 billion VND after 39 days in theaters.

This achievement surpasses the box office revenue of "Nha ba Nu" (459 billion VND), making it the second most successful film in Vietnamese cinema history, following "Mai" (524 billion VND).

On June 1st, the production team also announced that "Lat Mat 7" will be released in the international market. Several Hollywood news outlets have also reported on the global premiere of this film.

Deadline reported that through distributor 3388 Films, "Lat Mat 7" will debut in the North American market and 11 other countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, France... This is also the first Vietnamese film to be released simultaneously in 3 continents.

Specifically in the North American market, "Lat Mat 7" will debut on Father's Day - a meaningful occasion for audiences to enjoy this emotional and authentic family film together.

"Lat Mat 7" was released at the end of April, creating a frenzy and conquering various box office milestones. The film directed by Ly Hai set a record with 102,000 pre-sold tickets, earning 100 billion VND in over 3 days, surpassing 3 million viewers in 10 days.

Along with "Mai" starring Trấn Thành, "Lat Mat 7" is a rare successful Vietnamese film in the first half of this year amidst the majority of films in theaters facing losses. Most recently, "Cai gia cua hanh phuc" (starring Thai Hoa) produced by Xuan Lan left theaters with a revenue of 26.3 billion VND, despite having an investment budget of 37 billion VND.

After 4 consecutive weeks leading the box office, in the past 2 weeks, "Lat Mat 7" has started to lose its momentum, giving up the top spot in daily revenues to the animated film "Doraemon and the Earth Symphony".

This weekend, Ly Hai's film will face another competitor in the form of "Garfield: The Movie - Fat Cat Super Prankster" - a film released in celebration of International Children's Day.
