Minister Dao Ngoc Dung was reprimanded

Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung was reprimanded by the Politburo for violating the Party's principles and regulations and State laws.

The decision to discipline Mr. Dung was made by the Politburo at a meeting on April 19, at the Party Central Committee headquarters.

Previously, the Central Inspection Committee at its 37th session (March 8) pointed out many violations and shortcomings of Mr. Dung and a series of leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, General Department of Vocational Training, General Department of Vocational Education, Department of Financial Planning.

The inspection agency found that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 terms violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lack of responsibility and lax leadership. As a result, the Ministry and a number of organizations and individuals seriously violated the Party's regulations and laws in implementing mechanisms and policies in the field of vocational training; in implementing bidding packages carried out by Progressive International Joint Stock Company (AIC) and businesses in the AIC ecosystem.

The above violations affect the results of implementing the Vocational Training Development Strategy, causing serious consequences that are difficult to overcome; risk of damage and huge waste of money, State assets and social human resources; Public opinion is upset, negatively affecting the reputation of party organizations and state management agencies, to the extent that it must be considered and disciplined.
