New sedan making a splash in June, outshining its competition

MG4 EV

This model is a direct competitor to the VinFast VF 6, distributed in Vietnam in two versions: DEL and LUX, with corresponding prices of 828 million and 948 million VND, slightly higher than the VF6 (765 million and 855 million VND, including the battery).

The DEL version uses a rear-mounted electric motor, delivering a maximum power of 167 horsepower and maximum torque of 250Nm, while the LUX version uses an electric motor with a higher maximum power - 201 horsepower, but similar maximum torque as the LUX version.

The two versions also have different battery packs: the DEL version uses a 51kWh capacity battery, providing a maximum range of 350km per full charge, while the LUX version uses a 64kWh battery pack, allowing the vehicle to travel up to 450km per charge.

The MG4 EV also features an active safety system called MG Pilot, which includes features such as active cruise control (ACC), traffic jam assist (TJA), lane keep assist (LKA), automatic headlights (IHC)...

Regarding charging solutions, MG states that users can charge the battery at home with the included charger; charge publicly through third parties such as EV One, Porsche, VuPhong Energy, Eboost, Charge+...; and fast charge with a 140kW DC charger, allowing the battery to reach 80% capacity in just 26 minutes.

Kia Sonet 2024

The 2024 version of the Kia Sonet in Vietnam has three configurations: Deluxe, Luxury, and Premium, with prices not yet disclosed. The car is still assembled at Thaco's factory in Quang Nam.

In the 2024 version, the Sonet has some changes in its design, with the front and rear of the vehicle becoming more angular and rugged.

Meanwhile, the interior of the Sonet 2024 is almost identical to the previous model, with an integrated infotainment screen on the dashboard, large vertical air vents, a three-spoke D-cut steering wheel... All versions come with black leather seats with more intricate patterns than before.

Under the hood, the Kia Sonet 2024 retains the naturally aspirated SmartStream 4-cylinder 1.5L engine, delivering a maximum power of 113 horsepower and a maximum torque of 144Nm. This engine is combined with a front-wheel-drive system and a simulated 8-speed CVT transmission.

Hyundai New Grand i10

This is not a new generation of the Grand i10, but rather a mid-cycle refresh. The car is still locally assembled with 6 variants available, with prices ranging from 360 million VND to 455 million VND.

The exterior changes focus on the front of the car, with a design similar to the version in the Indian market.

Specifically, the front lights, although still using Halogen bulbs, have been upgraded from reflectors to lenses. The grille has been expanded to the sides, while the LED daytime running lights have been moved outward. The 15-inch alloy wheels have a new design on the hatchback version, while the sedan version remains the same as the previous model.

The Grand i10 2024 is equipped with an 8-inch infotainment screen with a navigation system tailored for Vietnam. The instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is analog, paired with a 3.5-inch multi-information display that shows tire pressure.

Under the hood is the Kappa 1.2L MPi engine, delivering a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a maximum torque of 114Nm, combined with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant.

Safety features include: anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist control (HAC), rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and 4 airbags.

Audi Q8 e-tron

Only the Audi Q8 e-tron 55 quattro Advanced version is available for sale in Vietnam, with a starting price of 3.8 billion VND.

The Audi Q8 e-tron 55 quattro Advanced uses an electric motor with a maximum power of 408 horsepower and a maximum torque of 664Nm. The car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds, reduced to 5.6 seconds in Boost Mode.

The car is equipped with a 114kWh Lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 582km per full charge, according to WLTP standards.

With a 170kW DC fast charging system, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes, providing an additional range of 420km. If slow charging at home, it takes about 10 hours with an 11kW AC charger and about 5 hours with a 22kW AC charger.

Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate Price Confirmed

This model has been introduced in the Vietnamese market since January, but the price was officially confirmed 6 months later at 705 million VND, slightly higher than expected, as it is only 6 million VND more than the Premium version.

Compared to the lower-spec Premium version, the Xforce Ultimate offers more features, including the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system with 8 speakers that has 4 customizable modes, can auto-adjust volume and sound quality based on vehicle speed.

Furthermore, the Ultimate is the only version of the Xforce equipped with the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) active safety system, including features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision and pedestrian warning, front vehicle start alert, and automatic high beam control.

Lexus GX 2024

The 2024 version is the new generation of this luxury SUV model, distributed in Vietnam with only the 550 version, priced starting at 6.2 billion VND for the standard sunroof variant and 6.25 billion VND for the panoramic moonroof variant.

The Lexus GX 550 2024 is completely revamped inside and out compared to the previous generation, as it uses the TNGA-F platform similar to the LX 600 and Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series. The car features a more angular and imposing exterior design. The interior also has more square lines and angles.

Under the hood of the Lexus GX 550 2024 is the V6 turbocharged 3.5L gasoline engine shared with the Land Cruiser, producing a maximum power of 349 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650Nm. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 2WD system.

Notable safety features include the LSS+ 3.0 package, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, and a 540-degree camera system.

Lynk & Co 06

Initially, this Chinese model will only be sold in Vietnam in one version, with a suggested retail price of 729 million VND, competing in the B-segment urban SUV market with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Yaris Cross, and Kia Seltos.

The car is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5L engine, producing a maximum power of 178 horsepower and a maximum torque of 290Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
