VinFast has confirmed to the Philippine media that the brand will launch the VF 3 in the country, but specific timing and pricing are still kept confidential.

The Vietnamese carmaker's statement is consistently reinforced through VinFast Philippines' social media channels constantly teasing the small electric vehicle. Thus, the VF 3 will be the fifth nameplate to join the brand's product lineup in the country with a population of around 120 million, following VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9.

Since the initial information was announced, the "made in Vietnam" car has attracted the attention of many consumers. VinFast only took about 3 months to complete its product from testing, somewhat demonstrating the manufacturer's capabilities.

Positioned in the small electric car segment, the VinFast VF 3 has a substantial exterior with dimensions of 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,652 (mm) - only slightly shorter in length compared to A-segment cars, with a wheelbase of 2,075mm and ground clearance of 191mm. The car features a 2-door design but still accommodates 4 seats inside.

Most of the car's equipment is at a basic level, such as halogen exterior lights, 16-inch steel wheels, manually adjustable rearview mirrors. The VF 3 still impresses with a 10-inch infotainment screen. Safety features include ABS, emergency brake assist, hill start assist, front disc brakes, and 1 airbag.

The selling price with the option to rent the battery and including VinFast VF 3's battery is 240 million VND and 322 million VND respectively (Photo: Nguyễn Lâm).

The mini SUV is equipped with a single rear-wheel electric motor, with a maximum power of 30kW (about 40 horsepower) and a peak torque of 110Nm. The LFP 18.64 kWh battery pack provides a maximum range of 215km on a full charge. Charging time from 10-70% is 5 hours with a portable charger and 36 minutes with a fast DC charger.

On August 1, the first batch of VF 3 vehicles was delivered to pre-order customers, mainly in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. After this batch, the company will continue to roll out nationwide to achieve a minimum goal of delivering 20,000 cars in 2024.
