Theo the singer, he was treated unfairly, physically restrained, and forced to undergo a mental health evaluation all because the doctor who examined him did not believe he was a member of the Four Tops group.

Alexander Morris is the lead singer of the Four Tops group. However, when he revealed his identity, the doctor who examined him directly requested that Morris be restrained and sent for a mental health evaluation. The incident took place at a hospital in the city of Detroit, Michigan, USA.

The lawsuit was filed by Alexander Morris in court last Monday. In fact, the incident occurred in April 2023, but it was not until now that Morris decided to file a lawsuit because of the traumatic experience he had faced.

At the time of the examination, Morris was experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. During the examination, Morris shared about his work as well as the anxieties he often faced due to stalkers and some obsessed fans who would bother him.

Upon hearing Morris reveal this information, the examining doctor thought he showed signs of delusional disorder.

The Four Tops group has been active since the 1950s and has had hits such as I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) and It's The Same Old Song. Morris joined the band in 2019.

According to Morris, despite carrying personal documents and being able to easily prove his identity and his status as a singer, he was not given the opportunity to explain. Morris was still forcefully restrained, kept in the hospital, and had his personal belongings held for a period of time.

Eventually, a female nurse recognized Morris as a member of the Four Tops group, so the doctor's request for a mental health evaluation was canceled. After the incident, the hospital gave Morris a $25 gift voucher as an apology, but he refused to accept it. Following Morris's recent lawsuit filing, the hospital declined to comment.
