Actor Tan Hoang (born in 1948) was a familiar face on the Hong Kong screen. He appeared in many works by writer Kim Dung such as "The Lovable Swordsman" (1976 and 1983 versions) and "The Return of the Condor Heroes" (1976 and 1983 versions).

In recent years, he has continued his artistic activities, playing supporting roles in TVB series. However, since 2019, his health has deteriorated, prompting Tan Hoang to stop acting.

He shared that his 20-year-younger girlfriend was no longer by his side when he became weak and had an accident. Mary left Hong Kong for the mainland with their daughter. Tan Hoang confessed that Mary only contacted him when she needed money, but now, when the actor fell into poverty, his girlfriend cut off contact with him.
The only bright spot for Tan Hoang at this moment is the improving relationship between him and his biological children. His youngest daughter visits him regularly in the hospital.
