The "VinFast VF 6 Experience Day" (taking place from July 27 to August 3) is the largest test drive event by VinFast to date, aimed at customers interested in the electric SUV VF 6. According to observations, many customers lined up to register for test drives.
Enthusiastic about the exhilarating driving experience
"Fast", "swift", "smooth" or "hugs the road" are the terms most customers used to describe the driving experience after taking the wheel of the VinFast VF 6.
"I was a bit surprised at first as I didn't expect the car to accelerate so well. The seat holds you firmly, the throttle response is almost instantaneous. The steering wheel of the car is very solid, giving me confidence when taking corners," said Nguyen Tien Ky (Hanoi) sharing his experience in driving an electric car for the first time.
According to the manufacturer's specifications, the VF 6 Plus is equipped with an electric motor producing 201 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. This figure is higher than all urban SUV models with internal combustion engines in the same price range on the market.
Aside from the driving experience, Mr. Ky also highly praised the technology of the VF 6. He said that the ADAS feature is a valuable addition of the VF 6 compared to other models in the same segment.
"I work in information technology and often work with computers, so I really like the way VinFast incorporates many features into a large central screen. The screen interface is easy to get used to and use. The virtual assistant is also a feature that I really like, giving a very high-tech feeling," Mr. Ky added.
Also driving an electric car for the first time, Bui Da Ngan (Hanoi) felt that the VF 6 provided him with a different experience compared to gasoline cars. "The car is very smooth, there's no engine noise when accelerating like gasoline cars. The soundproofing capability of the VF 6 is also very good," said Ngan.
Ngan found the VF 6 easy to get used to due to the minimalist interior design. The intuitive screen interface is suitable for a wide range of users.
Many customers want to switch from gasoline cars to electric cars
After test driving the VF 6, many customers expressed their intention to switch from gasoline cars to electric cars. Bui Da Ngan is one of those customers. He mentioned that he is considering purchasing the car, only waiting to learn more about the prices of the different versions along with the battery rental or purchase policies before making a decision.
"VinFast currently offers free charging for a year. This policy is excellent and is one of the factors that make me want to invest in buying the car. If I choose to purchase the car with a battery, it's like not having to spend money on maintaining the car in the first year. From what I've researched, electric cars have low maintenance costs, only costing a few hundred thousand dong each time," Ngan shared.
Sharing the same opinion, Nguyen Quang Huy (Ha Nam) also believes that choosing the VF 6 at this time will help him save a lot of expenses. "I work in Ha Nam but often have to travel to Hanoi to pursue my postgraduate studies. If I use the VF 6 with a battery, I won't have to worry about the cost of owning a car anymore, it's very cost-effective," he said.
In addition to optimizing usage costs, many customers want to make a deposit for the VF 6 early to immediately enjoy the good policies that VinFast is implementing. Customers receive a gift of 2 years of comprehensive insurance and battery, along with 10 million dong to use in the Vingroup loyalty program.
Many customers admit that this is a practical incentive for new car owners, with just the comprehensive insurance for 2 years amounting to nearly 20 million dong (depending on the insurance company).
The VinFast VF 6 is being distributed in 2 versions, S and Plus, with starting prices of 675 million dong and 765 million dong respectively (battery rental). The flexible battery rental policy helps the VF 6 reach more customers by saving them an initial purchase cost. In addition, the battery rental price starting from 1.4 million dong is considered reasonable and more cost-effective than the fuel costs for an equivalent distance of travel.
