On the evening of June 5 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Culture Newspaper, in collaboration with relevant units, organized a special art program called Vietnam - Aspiration for Greatness to commemorate the 76th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2024).

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Trinh Thi Thuy emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation is a historic document containing valuable and profound guidance on theory and practice for the patriotic emulation movement of the entire nation.
Deeply imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's call, the patriotic emulation movement was organized widely and continuously, becoming a vibrant revolutionary movement, encouraging and motivating the people and soldiers of the whole country to unite, strive to overcome all difficulties, and work together to achieve great victories in the nation's resistance wars and in the construction and defense of the country.
"76 years have passed, President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation remains intact in its theoretical and practical value, urging the spirit of patriotic emulation in every Vietnamese person. President Ho Chi Minh cherished the simplest things to synthesize profound issues of ideology, soul, emotions, beliefs, will, and actions of an entire nation.
The ideology of patriotic emulation in His Call at every stage of the nation's historical development always carries a sense of urgency and needs to be thoroughly understood, studied, and practiced extensively," Mrs. Thuy shared.
According to Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy, Vietnam - Aspiration for Greatness is an art program of profound political significance. The deep and melodious music will nurture the generations of Vietnamese people, especially the young generation, with love for the country, a spirit of national solidarity, awakening aspirations and spirit of dedication, contributing to significant breakthroughs in the country's development, innovation, and deep international integration.

With 3 parts: People searching for the country's image; Call for patriotic emulation; Construction and development of the Fatherland, the art program Vietnam - Aspiration for Greatness created a space of art with various emotions where the underlying theme is love for the homeland, the desire for dedication, gratitude, and love for Uncle Ho.
In the program, the audience enjoyed songs and melodies that have accompanied the years. Notable performances include the mashup Land of lullabies - Melody of the Fatherland (Van Thanh Nho, Tran Tien), the song Footprints Ahead (Pham Minh Tuan), From the Lotus Village (Pham Tuyen), Southern Remembering Gratitude Forever (Luu Cau), People searching for the country's image (poem by Che Lan Vien, music by Kien Ninh), Singing for my people to hear (Ton That Lap)...

The program featured impressive, profound, and emotional performances by beloved artists from multiple generations such as NSUT Tan Nhan, Hoang Tung, Lan Anh, Ploong Thiet; singers Trong Tan, Anh Tho; groups Dong Xanh, Thien Thanh; the Choir of the National Academy of Music...
People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director in charge of the National Academy of Music - played a dual role as the Artistic Director of the program and as a performer on stage.
The male artist stated: "For me, music programs that celebrate the homeland, the country, and President Ho Chi Minh always bring a source of pride and intense emotions."
NSUT Tan Nhan was moved on stage while singing Land of lullabies - Melody of the Fatherland and From the Lotus Village. She said that these songs express the longing for a bright and prosperous future for the country. They also urge all Vietnamese people, regardless of circumstances or location, to strive together, vigorously awaken the spirit of patriotism as Bác Hồ intended.
"Although these are old songs, when placed in the art program Vietnam - Aspiration for Greatness with new arrangements, the songs become attractive, with a contemporary touch and emotions of pride for the country and people," NSUT Tan Nhan shared.
According to NSUT Ploong Thiet, Vietnam - Aspiration for Greatness is not just an art program with political significance but also brings innovation to reach a wide audience, especially the young audience.
By performing the song Aspirations of the Youth, NSUT Ploong Thiet conveys a message about the youth, the young generation today who always harbor a great and fervent pride in the glorious history of the nation, the great revolutionary cause of our people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
As a son of the Pa Co ethnic group, through the song, NSUT Ploong Thiet also hopes to spread the story so that no one is left behind in heeding President Ho's Call for Patriotic Emulation.
