The recently upgraded Nissan Navara has been introduced in the Vietnamese market. The vehicle is still available in 3 versions: EL 2WD, VL 4WD, and Pro4X, with new prices reduced by 9-14 million VND. In addition, the manufacturer has added the option of the EL 2WD Upgrade.

As a result, the top version of the 2024 Nissan Navara is now cheaper than the Ford Ranger Wildtrak (VND 979 million) and the Toyota Hilux Adventure (VND 999 million).
However, the entry-level model of the Navara, despite the price reduction, remains the most expensive in its segment. The base variant of its competitors is priced at around 650-665 million VND, making it more accessible.

Being a minor upgrade, the exterior design of the 2024 Nissan Navara remains unchanged. The front of the vehicle still features a large, square V-Motion grille; the front lights on the EL variant use halogen bulbs with reflectors, while the 2 premium variants are equipped with LED headlights.

The interior of the 2024 Nissan Navara has changes in the dashboard. Leather seats, an 8-inch entertainment screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity will only appear on the 2 premium versions; the standard EL variant has fabric seats and is not equipped with an entertainment screen.
With a price difference of 14 million VND from the standard version, the EL 2WD Upgrade variant includes a 10-inch entertainment screen, bed liner, and side steps.

Under the hood of the new Navara is still a twin-turbocharged 2.3L diesel engine, producing 190 horsepower and 450Nm of torque. This figure is not as powerful as the Ford Ranger Wildtrak (201 horsepower and 500Nm), but the 7-speed automatic transmission on the Japanese model is considered to provide a more stable driving experience than its American counterpart.
The 2024 Nissan Navara still maintains a competitive advantage as the only pickup truck in its segment equipped with a multi-link rear suspension system. This suspension design provides a smoother ride than the traditional leaf spring suspension on other competitors.
In terms of safety equipment, aside from the 360-degree camera, the features present in the top version of the 2024 Nissan Navara are not particularly impressive. In this upgrade, the vehicle still lacks active safety technology like Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux, making it less attractive in terms of technology and safety features.
The upgrade of the Nissan Navara will somewhat help liven up the pickup truck segment in Vietnam. Estimated figures for the first half of 2024 show that out of every 10 people buying a pickup truck, 8 choose the Ford Ranger, leading to sales of 7,743 units in the past 6 months.
The remaining market share goes to the Mitsubishi Triton (991 units), Toyota Hilux (576 units), Isuzu D-Max (170 units), and Nissan Navara (sales figures not disclosed).
