Working with the authorities, Trung Viet Trung Company admitted that because they did not know that Hai Vai was a national monument, technical staff had to remove some blocks of soil and rock at the foot of the mountain to make a road to the foot of the project. . Currently, the enterprise has stopped mining and returned the soil and rock scooped out to build the road in early March.

Located in Minh Chau commune, the relic is a natural limestone mountain with a large peak named Luong Kien Son (meaning Hai Vai peak) and a small peak Ho Linh Son (also known as Mot Vai peak). The big mountain is located next to Highway 7, 200 m long, 120 m wide at its widest place, 141 m high at its highest; The small middle structure rises high, the two sides gradually lower, balanced like human shoulders. In 1964-1971, the Institute of Archeology organized explorations here, discovering fossilized human bones, some stone tools and many ceramic vases, artifacts from the Phung Nguyen culture more than 4,000 years ago. The above findings confirm that this place was inhabited by primitive people.

In 1994, Len Hai Vai was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic and scenic spot.

Mr. Le Khac Hoang, Chief Inspector of the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports, said he had asked Dien Chau district to report to the province because of violations in the management and protection of monuments, and to handle the responsibility of individuals. and related groups.

"For decades, Hai Vai has not been able to install protective markers due to land problems. There are some disagreements between the district and the province. In the near future, the Department plans to zone and re-measure some locations. protect the monument," Mr. Hoang said.
