Lều Phương Anh, singer, discovers being diagnosed with vocal cord-related illness

Recently, singer Leu Phuong Anh shared her health status on her personal page. Her mental state is still unstable and she is currently undergoing medical examinations and treatment. Surprised by her illness, she cried all day after receiving the results.

Singer Leu Phuong Anh told Dan Tri reporter: "I was found to have nodules and polyps in my left vocal cord. Actually, surgery and speech therapy in 3-6 months will be fine, but I am a singer, touching the vocal cord is a big concern! If I have surgery, I only have a 50% chance of recovering my voice.

My music teacher advised me to find ways to treat it and try to avoid surgery. I am currently undergoing a 3-week treatment to reduce inflammation, and then the doctor will continue to evaluate the condition of the polyps before making the final decision. I visited 5 doctors, and 3 of them recommended surgery."

The female singer's mood is quite confused. She used to believe that she would sing as long as she had the strength, but now, she has to choose between health and passion.

Having been hoarse in the past month, the singer simply thought it was because she spoke too much. Because recently, she has been involved in a new business field. However, when she discovered her illness, she was very surprised.

"I feel powerless as if I have to tape my mouth shut!" Leu Phuong Anh confided.

Due to her current health condition, Leu Phuong Anh had to suddenly cancel her performance schedule. On her personal page, the singer apologized to the show organizers. At the same time, she also mentioned that she won't be able to talk or sing for the next 3 months.

Leu Phuong Anh (born in 1985, from Hanoi) was in the top 3 of the Vietnam Idol 2010 competition. In recent years, she has performed less and shifted to online selling, staying at home to take care of her 3 children.
